MONDAY

Meran Panoramic Tour

A trip to the St. Kathrein church, which boasts stunning views of the Meran valley basin, via Meran, Algund, Marling, Schenna and the Naif Valley. Located near to the church is Sulfner, the historic breeding site for Haflingers. We continue to Falzeben / Meran 2000 with a two-hour break and the opportunity to ride on the cable car or go summer tobogganing, enjoy a nice walk or have lunch. Then we travel through the Tschögglberg countryside via Vöran, Mölten towards Terlan and back to your resort via the Etsch Valley.

WEEKLY

Schnals Valley – Ötzi's Resting Place

A trip into the Schnals Valley and on to Karthaus, a village built around a monastery dating back to the 14th Century and abolished in 1782. Includes a visit to the monastery. In the afternoon, a journey to Kurzras, a village at the end of the valley with views over the Ötztal Alps – it was on the Tisenjoch, in this mountain range, where Ötzi, the prehistoric man found preserved in the local ice, was unearthed. Alternative: trip to Vernagt reservoir – during the building of which in the 1950s, some of the village’s farms were submerged. Time for a stroll or a coffee break. Also in this valley is the Finailhof (1953m), the highest grain farm in the Alps. We then return to your resort.

TUESDAY

Dolomites Round Trip

A trip through the Eggen Valley, via Bozen, to the Karersee, a stunningly beautiful Alpine lake, at the foot of the Latemar mountain, where we’ll have a break. We then pass the holiday residence of legendary Austrian empress Sissi and head to Canazei via the Karer pass and on to the Pordoijoch. The pass is surrounded by the Langkofel, the Sella massif and Marmolata group. Break for lunch approx 1,5 hours. The onward journey takes us into the Grödner Valley via the Sellajoch, with its views of the Geissler summits. The home of Luis Trenker; the famous South Tyrolean film producer, director, writer, actor, architect, Alpinist, and bobsledder, the Grödner Valley is also well known thanks to its unique woodcarvings. Coffee break in St. Ulrich followed by a return to your resort.

Ulten Valley – Lago Smeraldo – The World’s Largest Grapevine

A trip into the Ulten Valley and on to the Zoggler reservoir above St. Walburg, where we will be treated to a seasonal guided tour of the Kräuterreich Wegleit (wild herbs, garden flowers, herbs, wool and much more). We continue via the Deutschnons Valley to Fondo, where we have the opportunity to make a pitstop at the cheese factory. Then, we go to Lago Smeraldo for our lunch break, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy a walk around the lake. In the afternoon, we travel via Tisens to Prissian to visit the Versoaln, the world’s largest and probably oldest vine, at Katzenzungen Castle. The return journey to your resort takes us via Nals and the Etsch Valley.

Trento with City Tour and Lake Kaltern

A trip through the Etsch Valley to Trento, regional capital of Trentino, a region that, under the name Welschtirol, used to be part of Austria. The city lies at an altitude of 194m and, with its beautiful cathedral, cathedral square and Buonconsiglio Castle (the former residence of the prince-bishops, now a museum), is the headquarters of the Archdiocese of Trento. 90-minute guided tour (in German) of the city with free time afterwards to explore. The journey back to your resort takes us along the South Tyrolean Wine Road, with a break at Lake Kaltern.

WEEKLY

Sarntal and Bozen

A trip through the Sarntal, via Bozen, to Lake Durnholz (1.558m). The village of Durnholz and the surrounding area has two priceless treasures for us to enjoy… the wonderful tranquillity of the eponymous lake and the frescos inside St. Nicholas parish church. Opportunities to have some lunch or walk around the lake (1 hour). In the afternoon, we travel towards Bozen and will, depending on the season, stop off and visit one of many factories (mountain pine oil distillery, quill embroiderer, wool manufacture, chocolate factory, turners workshop, Rohrerhaus etc.) along the way. We then return to your resort.

WEDNESDAY

Lake Garda – Limone and Malcesine

A trip to Trento via the Etsch Valley and then on through the Sarca Valley to Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy, which encompasses parts of the provinces of Trentino, Verona and Brescia. The river Sarca, that flows through the valley of the same name, feeds into the lake, which, in turn, discharges into the river Mincio and flows into the Po. Limone is in a recess on the lake, protected by high cliff walls, between gardens and lemon orchards. After visiting Limone, we enjoy a leisurely boat trip to Malcesine for a coffee break. Malcesine’s most famous landmark is surely the Scaliger Castle, which towers above the banks of the lake. The journey back to your resort takes us via Nago, the San Giovanni Pass and the motorway.

Lake Molveno with Brenta Dolomites

A listed building, the parish Church of the Assumption is a well-known pilgrimage site. We continue via Fondo through the Non Valley to Lake Molveno, Italy’s largest Alpine lake. At an altitude of 880m, the site boasts stunning views of the Brenta Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site. An approx. 3-hour break with the opportunity for a walk through the village centre and along the lake promenade, or to stop for lunch. The journey back to your resort takes us along the South Tyrolean Wine Road.

THURSDAY

Venice – “Queen of the Adriatic”

A trip to Venice, passing through the Etsch Valley, the Sugana Valley and Padua, arriving at the Tronchetto bus station. Boat trip to Piazza San Marco included. Comprised of 118 islands, separated by canals and linked together by approx. 398 bridges, the “Floating City” was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Venice was also one of the world’s largest trading towns until well into the 16th Century. The Canale Grande is Venice’s main thoroughfare. Once there, you’ll have time to visit the Doge’s Palace, the Rialto Bridge and the Bridge of Sighs, or just to wander round and explore. The boat back to the bus station leaves in the late afternoon.

Sirmione & Bardolino

Across the Adige valley and Affi to Sirmione, located on the southern shore of Lake Garda on a long narrow peninsula between the bays of Desenzano and Peschiera. Thanks to Catullus, Sirmione is considered a pearl and is known for the curative properties of its spa waters. During the two and half hour stop, you can take a boat trip around the peninsula of Sirmione, visit the Grottoes of Catullus [remains of a Roman villa] or enjoy a walk through the old town centre with its narrow streets, numerous shops and lakeside promenade. We then continue along Lake Garda to Bardolino where we will stop for approximately 1 hour. Return by motorway.

Ultental

Trip to St. Gertraud in the Ulten Valley. Short walk to see the three ancient larches, the oldest in Europe. Originally there were four and when the last one fell, it was said to have 2000 annual rings. Brief stop in St. Gertraud with the option of visiting the “Lahnersäge” sawmill in the Stelvio national park. We then continue by coach to Lake Zoggler above the village of St. Walburg. Accompanied by Traudi Schwienbacher, we follow the Kneipp trail and learn about the curative power of water, movement, diet and medicinal herbs. At the end of the trail is the “Ultner Mühle“, a mil in the middle of the wood still used for grinding flour. Here you can bake bread and taste it fresh from the oven.

FRIDAY

Verona with Guided Tour

A trip through the Etsch Valley, past Trento and on to Verona. Guided tour (held in German) to the most significant tourist attractions, as well as the picturesque streets and piazzas. The old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ‘Arena di Verona’, the ancient amphitheatre on Piazza Bra, possibly built during Emperor Tiberius’ reign in c.30AD, is in great condition and has been incorporated into the modern town centre. The structure is 138m x 109m in size and, when its state of preservation is taken into account, it is the second largest amphitheatre after the Colosseum in Rome. The return journey to your resort takes us through the Etsch Valley.

Multi-Day Trip Registration: No later than 25 days before the event

Registration:
You may register in writing, on the telephone or in person. Your registration is considered binding upon receipt of your booking confirmation and/or when multi-day trips are paid for and our travel conditions are accepted. You will be informed of the departure times and meeting points either on the booking confirmation or in person/on the telephone.

Services/Prices:
The services outlined in your travel itinerary are included in the price. Overnight accommodation in a double room is included in the price of multi-day trips. All services not mentioned (e.g.: single-room surcharge, meals etc.) are not included in the price. Not all drinks are included in the price of meals. We reserve the right to make changes if they are required on technical grounds. Customers will be informed of these changes before departure.

Minimum Number of Passengers:
The minimum number of passengers for our trips is 20. If this number is not reached, your trip will be cancelled and all payments you have already made will be refunded.

Methods of Payment:
You can either transfer the money to us before departure or pay on the day on the coach. If you register for a multi-day trip, a deposit of 50% of the total cost is payable. The outstanding amount is payable no later than three days before departure.

Cancellation Conditions:
Excursions booked from our weekly programme may be cancelled free of charge up to one days before departure, by no later than 10am on that day.

Excursions and coach tours from the annual programme are subject to the following cancellation conditions:
up to 25 days before departure:                             no fee
between 24 and 20 days before departure:           15% of the total cost of the trip
between 19 and 15 days before departure:           60% of the total cost of the trip
between 14 and 7 days before departure:             80% of the total cost of the trip
6 days or less before departure:                          100% of the total cost of the trip

Miscellaneous Information:
The multi-day trips are carried out in cooperation with a travel agent. All explanations and guided tours are given in German. For each journey, you will require a valid identity card or passport. Each passenger is responsible for adhering to all regulations.
Important: When registering, please provide the correct name as stated in the travel documents you will be using for this journey. We accept no liability if the name you give when you register does not match up with that in your travel documents.
